19950902 Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

This is he BIG ONE! I will say, my favorite concert that I have ever attended. It had everything, and everybody! When I found out it was taking place, I asked Teri if she wanted to go, sure it would be a Labor Day weekend trip to Cleveland. The primary reason that I was going was to see Springsteen, but it was so much more!
I got together before the show with a bunch of Springsteen fans from a forum called Lucky Town Digest. I kept a couple of the stickers that they were giving out.

Until this time, I hadn't really gone out and met up with Springsteen fans. After this meeting, I would regularly meet with locals.
The musicians did a lot of covers and generally didn't do their big hits at the show, which seemed a little odd. This concert was broadcast live on HBO, and I would have thought everyone would have pulled out their Greatest Hits collection. I think how it turned out was the best way. Every musical genre was represented on this night, Rock, punk, blues, country, funk, jazz, oldies, you name it. And the interaction between the various acts were fantastic! This is the one concert I point to that I was happy to spend the money and go out the Ohio for the weekend!
