19920826 Bruce Springsteen

Bruce is out on the road promoting the double release of Human Touch/Luckytown but without the E-Street Band. A lot has changed for Bruce since we saw him in 1988. He got re-married, had kids, moved to California, turned 40, and dumped the E-Street band. This was a lot. But a lot had changed in my life too. This is what happens over time.
I had my first date to a Springsteen show. Heather was my date, Dave and Cindy were also along. The show over all was pretty good (I thought). While not the E-Street band, the band was pretty good. Granted these are more mature songs and dealing with grown up subject matter. After the show Heather said something like, "That wasn't very impressive." Oh well, you can't win them all.
But then the next day we went to Annapolis Mall at lunch. She used her ticket stub to get a discount on some pictures she had developed. This made me feel that the ticket to the show was only worth a photo processing discount. I didn't say anything, but I was not happy about this and didn't want to see her any more. It's stupid to judge someone by their opinion of a concert, but music is important to me and how someone reacts to the music makes a big impression on me. Enough of my rant.
