19940801 Rolling Stones/Counting Crows

The Stones kick off their Voodoo Lounge tour in Washington D.C. and I'm there to see the show! One of the things that made this interesting, a couple weeks before the show, I rolled my ankle while playing tennis and my leg was in a hard cast. We did get to take the handicap elevator to our seats and the people around me were really decent about letting me keep my leg propped up.
About the show, the Counting Crow opened the show, and it was the lead singer, Adam Duritz birthday. I loved the band from the get go. They had their first album, August and Everything After out at the time. I couldn't wait to see them again, and I have seen them a few times since.
