Kicking off the new year with the first Springsteen show of the new century! We are off to Happy Valley, Penn State University, PA. This was an interesting trip. One of my friends from the local Springsteen group, Shannon LaVoy, got a few people together and I ended up taking a group of 5-6 people in my van to Penn State for the show. It turned out that my friend Flynn McLean gave Bruce the suggestion for the opening song, Lion’s Den (Nittany Lions are the mascot for Penn State). A great way to kick off the year of a bunch of Bruce shows!
